THE BAND

LOCAL VOCALS has been an eclectic acoustic trio featuring the vocal stylings of Cindy Perfater, former lead singer with Charlottesville's Houserockers Band for over 25 years.  Pat Burns, guitarist/vocalist formerly with The Kool Kats and City Lights; and Mike Perfater, guitarist/vocalist who spent nearly three decades with The Houserockers Band as its founder and leader.  The trio's musical style relies heavily on tight three part harmonies, with all three members alternating as lead singers, with recently added percussionest Carl Moyer holding down the groove.

For 16 years LOCAL VOCALS have provided a powerful vocal chemistry with a  repertoire includes a wide variety of traditional classic acoustic rock of The Eagles, Crosby Stills & Nash, The Zack Brown Band and Jimmy Buffett along with familiar modern selections of The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Little Big Town and ambitious unplugged versions of pop and rock groups whose music spans nine decades.

On October 3, 2025, LOCAL VOCALS will be performing their final engagement at Glass House Winery & Brewery in Free Union, Virginia.  We have so enjoyed entertaining our friends, family and new acquaintances over the years. We can't thank our fans enough for all the support you have given us and so many memories to hold on to.  Michael and Cindy Perfater will be retiring from the music scene, but Pat Burns and Carl Moyer will continue to perform in various entities as they move forward.
